Carolita Blythe 177-Word Bio

Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Carolita would not meet her parents until she moved to Brooklyn at the age of six. She was then raised as an only child, although she had seven siblings. (Don’t try doing the math.) With such an interesting beginning, not much of a surprise that Carolita got into the business of making up stories.

Revenge Of A Not-So-Pretty Girl was preceded by Carolita’s first novel, The Crickets’ Serenade (Genesis Press), which takes readers across race and class lines in Jamaica when a young woman agrees to an arranged marriage to help gain votes for an ambitious politician.

A graduate of Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications, Carolita has worked as a script supervisor and production supervisor on various  television productions, which means she’s really good at story interpretation, multitasking and talking people off ledges. She is also a small business owner and co-creator of the ZoopLoop stylus tether tablet accessory.
